What Future Roles do you want to see Rupert in?

After watching some of the new DH1 scenes, Rupert is just quite simply on a WHOLE other league now. Like Yates said, he can go out there a become a straight actor and do ANYTHING.

I want him to see him do the following in a new role:

1. Dye his hair dark and have a completely different look to what people are used to seeing Rupert as.

2. A challenging dramatic role. A complex story.

3. Anti-hero archetype. So much more dynamic and interesting. (<3 Snape)

4. Perhaps set in a different time period. That would really add to the challenge.



I hope him signing to Gersh agency means he's ready to get back to work. He's had a nice break since DH wrapped in the summer. I'm hoping when DH2 comes out next July, that Rupert is in an even better footing with his career. Have at least one new movie under his belt in post-production. We've seen how hard he can work when he's put to task ala Cherrybomb.

I would for him to do something with Tim Burton! It would really suit him as a person and I reckon he could pull it off so well ;D

Maybe an American role to see how he would fit in the hollywood scene.

Which actors do you want to see him star alongside in the future?

I agree. Definitely Tim Barton.

as for the role... a psycho. I'd rather see him as the bad person than in some ...lame comedy.

Also, no action. Drama. Yeah, that's the right place for him. Dramas, thrillers... where he will get to play a really nice, complete, more dimensional character.

Rupert would kick a** in a Tim Burton movie. I could seriously see him being another Jonny Depp!

I would love him to work with Jonny Depp obviously LOL umm... I would love to see him play a role like Joseph Gordon-Levitt did in Inception, were he isn't the main character but still very important to the plotline.

I don't know I will have to think about it more don't want to make another obvious choice. I think he would work really well with so many people. He is so easy to get on with and he can switch it on so good I don't see anything holding him back.

Any actresses you would love to see him work with? Who do you think he would have great chemistry with?

I agree Katie, he needs to stay away from the comedy. That's why I'm a bit fearful for the Eddie the Eagle film and depending on how they portray the story.... Eddie went through a lot of disturbing moments in his life, becoming homeless, eating from garbage bins, living in horrible places....etc So the role could really turn dramatic and heart-wrenching. But they could also go down the funny comedy family film route, which would suck. But like Rupert said, that movie is way off and doesn't even have a start date. So he's still looking at new scripts.

Hmmm, actresses for Rupert? Personally, I think he'd have chemistry with anything or anyone. He just knows how to really connect to people while in character.

Director: Tim Burton,I agree. Actor: Johnny Depp,no doubt. And sorry,but every time I see Carey Mulligan,all I can think about is her sharing a cigarette with Dan Rad in My Boy Jack. "Best beloved brother",that's her quote.

I would love to see him play a role like Joseph Gordon-Levitt did in Inception: OMG YES to this!Carey Mulligan would be awsome. Allthough not a fan or anything but someone like Lily Allen because she is like the opposite to Rupert.

But I would love just about anything. For the moment no comedy we know he is darn well good at that allready. Johnny Depp kind of movies and act with him would be a blast.. A real action packed movie to get him more male fans (= more respect in hollywood)

And hate me all you want: the slash-fan in me: A gay role-drama later on in his career.
