xD I'm not gonna be okay. I might actually delete my torrent downloader to stop temptation. OMG. U GUISE. Right...I was at a friends house last night, and the topic of what films we're looking forward to this summer came up, I mentioned The Last Airbender and one of my friends said she wants to see it too! I HAVE SOMEONE TO GO WITH. She's only seen one episode of the anime series (the one where the library sinks and Appa gets taken) when she was at University (a friend of hers apparently watches the show - I now NEED to meet this friend xD) and said she enjoyed it. Her and her boyfriend also saw the trailer for the film when they went to see Iron Man 2, and she said it looked amazing. I'M SO HAPPY. I literally sat there with a big grin on my face. On another note, a new sneak peak of TLA was aired during iCarly today (1 minute longish, Aang escaping Zuko's ship and then flying off with Appa, Katara and Sokka): www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO1WN78Kg4gIt looks amazing. o_____________O

I already have friends to go with so I'm cool. xD But good for you! Going alone sucks, so yeah. And I don't even know about the postponing thing because the website of one cinema says the 29th and the website of the other says 22nd. -_- Btw- your friend watched THE LIBRARY? -___- Of all episodes, why that one? Make her watch Nightmares and Daydreams. That was the first episode I watched and I nearly fainted laughing. Oh oh oh oh oh btw Lu, I saw the TLA manga at the bookstore a couple of weeks ago, it was the one about Zuko. I'm gonna go get it sometime next week EDIT- So I couldn't resist watching the clip. Damnit. It looks so good. Can these guys act? Yes. Is the dialogue good? Yes. Does that = good script? Probably.

Late replying... I have no idea why they all watched the library episode, she said her friend just randomly downloaded and played that one. OHMYGOD, I remember watching Nightmares and Daydreams for the first time in 2 years a couple of months back, I cried laughing. :') HILARIOUS episode. One of my favourites. Ooo, really?! How amazing! Tell me if it's any good/worth buying and I might go get it myself! ;D LIANN. I AM SO UNBELIEVABLY JEALOUS RIGHT NOW. I can't believe I have to wait another month and a half. 5 hours 'till the midnight release in the US, Simba, wanna get on a plane and go see the movie? XD Haha.

STAY AWAY FROM REVIEWS. Seriously. Form you're own opinion. A week before the films release, the Racebenders did a letter writing campaign to all the film critics telling them about all the issues with the casting. Also, an older audience that hasn't seen the anime series aren't going to absolutely adore it, it's PG rated, aimed at kids/teenagers. Try not to let it dishearten you, Simb. Some Avatar fans loved the film, others are a bit more so-so. With all the controversy that has surrounded this film from the get go, it was bound to have a mixed reception. I know it's hard not to listen to them, but try.

I guess you're right. But my family always has this thing about 'first hear the reviews, then watch the film', so I suppose I'm influenced by that. But I can't help being disappointed, I thought this was going to be good. Toy Story 3 was aimed at kids too, but it got flippin' 99%.

I'm the same, I get easily influenced by other peoples opinions. But to be honest, it was never going to be absolutely epic, because lets face it, nothing really that amazing happens in book one of the anime series, because it's setting up the show. Book two and three however, that's where the epic starts. On a side note, remember when Half-Blood Prince was getting bad reviews? Toy Story 3 is completely different though, it's been around for years, which gives it the advantage as people know what to expect (plus it's a Pixar film). The Last Airbender is completely new to people (well, except for the anime fans), so the audience are going to be judging and nitpicking. Most people have a tendency to go into a film and focus on the bad points; some people have also gone into the film with an already set opinion of the film (e.g. the Racebenders). I think somewhere along the way people have forgotten that ultimately, this is a kids film. I think if you go into the film with an open mind, as an Avatar fan that welcomes change, then you'll be fine. Just enjoy the ride.
