Wait, did the french pull through and win? Son of a...!No, they didn't. So how is SA out? I don't understand the points system Also, can someone tell me why sometimes minutes get added to the games? I used to know, but I've forgotten. I love this "time of year", because I actually get to watch Futball, but it sucks because sometimes I don't understand why something happened. We never show soccer games over here, so its impossible to learn. They play in groups. The two teams who end up having biggest number of points, pass the groups and continue playing on the tournament and the other two go home. When a team wins a game gets 3 points. If it's a draw, that's 1 point. And if the team loses = zero points. So in the end, the teams with bigger number of points are the ones who'd won more games. - Added minutes. Well, in football you play 2 half times, each 45 minutes long. Unlike in basketball, where they stop the time when there's foul or out or substitution, in football, you don't stop the time. Those 45 minutes are tickling even when a player is laying on the ground injured. That's why you have added time at the end. To make up for the lost time during some break. If there were lots of breaks, you get like 5 minutes added time. If not, you may get 1 minute. It depends of the play. edit:Oh, and SA is out of the WC because of the goal difference. That's a bit... complicated. When 2 teams (in this case SA and Mexico) have same number of points after the last game is played, the team who stays in the tournament is the one who has better goal difference. In this case - Mexico has better goal difference. They have scored more goal that they let their opponents do against them. Mexico - 3 goals scored and 2 goals scored against them = +1 difference. SA - 3 goals scored but they had 4 goals scored against them = -1 difference. +1 > -1 That's why Mexico is going to the second round. Does this makes any sense? O.o

Vuvuzelas.
They are annoying. I think they will be forbidden for the knockout matches.

Whether that was luck or talent. -- If England doesn't play like they should tomorrow, if they are pathetic like they were agains Algeria i will totally start cheering for Slovenia. They are my second fav country on this WC (with Mexico being number 3).

^^ Oh, yes. They all were. It was a fantastic game. Finally someone started scoring more than 1-2 goals. Anyway, i am hoping Portugal will go to the second round. I don't really like Ivory Coast... Drogba is one of the players i hate the most

^^ Against Ghana in the next round... that will be interesting to watch. Bah, England got Germany. Crazy! That will be a good match. Anyway, talking about crazy... Slovakia vs. Italy. Personally, i wanted Slovakia to win. Italy are crap. Their defensive game, the constant falling and faking fouls... blah. They so deserved to go out. The bonus? They finished last in the group. Behind New Zealand!!! xD Too bad New Zealand didn't score one. It would have been amazing.
