^ fact is some folks would consider her a role model, wouldn't they be disappointed if they did see her like that?

Yes, if they were 10-11 year old ones. What has her role has to do with being role model? Do you even know what role model is?

I think it is more the fact that if Emma does it it will be all over the internet in 2 seconds and there will be millions of 13 year old boys and worse 70 year old men looking very intently over those photo's (imagining that she is still the 13 year old girl we saw in PoA). While that could happen to Rupert and Dan i don't think it would ever happen to the same extent that it would happen to Emma. So... the reason she shouldn't do a sex scene is because people will watch it??? WHAT? xD Dude, come on... and she's def not the girl from PoA anymore. She's like.... 7-8 years older. Fet used to the fact that you're gonna see her in different and controversial stuff. Seeing her in the sex scenes isn't the problem. The problem is all the weird people who will watch those sex scenes (and not the movies just the sex scenes) and will (well we know what they would do) and while they are doing it would imagine her as the young girl she was in the early Harry Potter films. I always felt that child stars doing nudity later on when they get old enough can be a negative thing as people treat them differently to a actress who became famous as a adult and later on went on to do nude scenes. Edit: i hope this post didn't go over the adult content line on this forum as i really tried to type what i wanted to say but remain within the site rules.

Well, you do have a good point, but Emma is not the first nor the last who'd do a scene like that. The pervs has been there for ages, and they are going to be there no matter whether she'd do or wouldn't do the scene. It wont change anything, plus, as much as it grosses me, they are doing it for every good looking female, not just her. So it doesn't have to stop her from doing more mature roles.

Aww, look who's finally acknowledged my existence ( sarcasm : I do know what a role model is, it's someone you look up to and want to be like and working hard to achieve it.

There are plenty of ways for a film crew and a director to film a sex scene that does not involve nudity so for the next few years (until Potter mania dies down a bit) i think that would be best for Emma. Waiting until her role as Hermione Granger has died down a bit in people's minds before she does a scene with nudity would be a wise course of action.

Yes, that's true. A lot of scenes have been filmed with clothes on rather then off.

That's true, but why are we talking about a sex scene that we don't even know it's gonna be filmed? I've read the book and there isn't sex in any scene, whether it's Charlie or Sam or whoever. It's mentioned yes, that's the novel, but it's never shown. There's brief nudity at the end, but nothing more, so all these sex talks [and worrying] can stop now. Until we hear Emma doing adult scene, at least. Which wont happen in this movie. Well, we don't even know whether this movie will happen or whether she'll def be Sam. I hope they do this film though, i really want to see her acting something totally different than Hermione.

Well what about it? What's the big deal if they have a sex scene in the movie or not? Seriously, this is getting as riduculas as Rupert's new haircut. I could care less about both.

I really need to reread this book. It's been ages. I can't really say how perfect Emma is for the role since I can't really remember what Sam was like. I keep mixing her up in my head with Alaska from "Leaving Alaska" by John Green, which is a similar novel. I do know it has one of my favorite lines ever: "In that moment, we were infinite."I obviously don't know the context of that line but it doesn't really sound like something a teenager (or anyone really) would say. Well, the narrator is basically writing in a journal and that's the novel. So, he says it to himself, but he's by no means that eloquent when speaking to others. Also, if all novels about teenagers were narrated exactly like an ordinary teenager would speak...well, none of them would win awards that's for sure.
