This news is originally from Variety but I maxed out on how many free views I had this month. Luckily, Empire has picked up the story Emma Watson is locking down her first film following her long stay at Hogwarts – she’s in talks to star in indie coming-of-age drama The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
Logan Lerman, last seen in Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and who has just won the role of D’Artagnan in Paul WS Anderson’s 3D Three Musketeers is starring as the title character, a nervy, unpopular teen who chronicles his difficulties in a series of letters to an anonymous correspondent.
Stephen Chbosky, who wrote the original novel in 1999 and has adapted the script. He’ll make his directing debut with the film, which John Malkovich’s Mr Mudd company is producing.
We’re wondering if the cinematic version will hit the same troubles as the tome – which has caused controversy with some parents thanks to frank treatment of drugs, sex and suicide… www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=27937

I absolutely love this book and am really excited to see what they do with it... plus I think Emma and Logan look really good together, especially as Charlie and Sam.

She has to, if she wants to get away from being recognized as Hermione for the rest of her life. No more 'childish' roles for her.

I've read it's confirmed that Emma will be playing Sam in this movie! People say (on twitter) that the author Stephen Chbosky said she was going to do it... so yeah... Expect a tweet from Emma to deny it or confirm it.
