Today, one year ago, India suffered the worst terrorist attacks in ages. This was written on a Facebook group:
Can't believe it's been a year already. Some people are just maniacs. 156 people lost their lives that day. It's just sad, really.
26th November 2008..
Ten Gunmen stormed Mumbai, and savaged it.
Leopold Cafe
Cama Hospital
CST Station
Oberoi Trident Hotel
Taj Hotel
Nariman House
These 6 locations were taken by surprise, an attack that began precisely at 9.30pm and lasted to an extent of 3 days..
A country left watching, a city bruised.
This event is created as a tribute to all those who died in these horrendous attacks.
The police officers. Some of those we mock, degrade, disrespect and ruin their name. They left their families at home, their children, their wives, mothers, fathers, etc. to go save a stranger's life.
So that the stranger may have the chance to continue his life.

Sandeep Unnikrishnan
Among them, there were several other police, military and para-military officers who gave their life to save another.
Eminent personalities around the world were present at some of these locations,
A story to reckon with, and on a leaving note.
The General Manager of The Taj was at the hotel with his family of 2 children and his wife..
The 2 children, not even teens yet, and his wife were burnt alive in their suite.
He heard about this....
The manager was helpless, distressed and disappointed. He did not let his emotions overcome his duties,
He worked throughout the attacks, even after persuasion from Mr. Tata himself to leave the location..
He continued and assisted the security forces, he gave it all he had and more.
His undying perseverance, helped 100s of other in his hotel, and helped this ordeal end as soon as possible.
Let us remember his family, let us stand by him, let us be a family.
