 Well, that's annoying. The UK is one of the last to get it apparently, so you may actually get it before us...Not sure though. According to IMDB the release dates go like this:

Looks like every other country in Europe gets it before the UK does xD Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to do the same as you - I'll just download it through torrent. Someone in the US is bound to record it and put it online. Which is actually quite worrying because then they'll lose a lot of money through ticket sales :/ And I actually want them to make book 2 & 3 into films too, if this one is good. EVERYONE gets it before the UK does. Which is stupid. Because then everyone who's an Avatar fan here will most likely download it, and therefore makes the cinema sales go down. I think it's also gonna be re-named "The Legend of Aang" for Europe release too, which is weird.

ahhhhhhhhh! BRB. Watching trailer. xD I'll edit. EDIT: AJIAJAKJ!!!! OMG. Okay. I need to calm down xD ha. It looks SO good, like...so much better than I thought it would be. I can't wait for the UK release date - that's so unfair Blah, ah well, I'm gonna have to find someone who likes Avatar quickly...I really don't want to have to watch it through download. I know what you mean, Simba - lack of scar and arrow is annoying me too. Though if they over did the arrow it may look a bit comical :/ So maybe that's their reason for it? I really don't know xD Ha. I watched Avatar all through downloads, I never watched it on a UK channel. |

Yes! That was Uncle Iroh - I can't WAIT to see how he acts (like, if it's similar to the tv series)...Same with Sokka. XD Ha. Right with you there, Liann. Jackson did nothing for me in Twilight, but in this - Why HELLO there. Suki is in this film, I was really hoping we'd see her in the trailer - obviously not. :/ God, I'm so freakin' EXCITED xD I feel like I just want to jump up and down. It just looks epic. I want more of Appa, and some Momo...WHERE'S MOMO?! Same about Kataang. Do you think they'll really develop it in the movie then? Their relationship that is? Like they did with the cartoon? Woah, too many question marks. HOW am I gonna wait an extra month for this to come out?! D: It's literally gonna kill me. You guys would've already seen it, then by the time I get to see it, hype = gone. -_- Pft. Handglider = 1:16 =  This is gonna sound really weird, but I really want to hear Noah Ringers voice -- I want to hear what he sounds like xD We haven't heard him speak yet...except for the screm at the end of the trailer. So gonna go and watch the cartoon series now. *grabs dvds* EDIT: Don't you think Nicola Peltz actually sound like Katara? /end really long and unstructured post. |

I agree with you about the casting, perfect opportunity to break the mold. But, alas, it looks epically awesome anyway. I swear, if Jesse McCartney was cast as Zuko, I probably would not have seen this film. xD Haha, yeah - Aang has a huge, HUGE soft spot for Katara. And I guess, seeming they put that hug in the trailer, that we're gonna have more moments like that. Do you think they've kept in the playful side the show has? Like Aang's childish-ness and Sokka's sarcasm? So far all we've seen in the trailer is a more serious side of all the characters, not one smile. But...but...I don't wanna download it. Downloading it means I have to watch it on my laptop in pretty LQ, and I want to see it on a humongous cinema screen. Bah, it's gonna be hard to resist though. I bought the DVDs a couple of days ago. Book 1, 2 and 3 for 31 pounds. It's so cheap because the english sets have no extras, heck they don't even have subtitles xD It just the episodes. Whereas the US versions have tonnes of extras. I swear Avatar has something against the UK xD No DVD extra's and an August 13 release date. Boo to them. Quick question - you know book 1, 2 and 3 all happen in the space of a year? If they are going to make the next two films, they're gonna have some serious problems with the actors and actresses growing up - especially Aang/Noah and Katara/Nicola. Each film takes around a year to make, and then a years gap to promote and start work on the next, this equals a total of around 4-5 years if they make books 2 & 3...Surely by then the actors won't look around 12 or 14 years old anymore - Noah would be 15/16ish and Nicola 16/17ish. So do you think they'll change the storyline or something? Like...Sozin's Comet comes in, I dunno...3 years time? That really wasn't a quick question xD ha. |

Yeah that's true. I'm just not used to all the patterns, I guess. But tharr be no excuse for Zuko's scar >__> NO EXCUSE, I SAY!!!  B-but...but....Zuko's not weak D: Wasn't there this wallpaper thingy with one of the Kyoshi Warriors on it? I thought that was Suki. The cartoon was already named The Legend of Aang in the UK. Iroh was just AWESOME xD The guy sounded so much like his character, I was flippin' happy. ;D I was a bit skeptical about the way he looked first, y'know, dreadlocks and stuff >_> But why the hell freaking not? I hope they don't make the movie TOO Kataang-y. I'm not a big fan. Sorry xP I'm more in for the story than the romance. (But Sukka ftw ) PLEASE. THANK YOU, JESSE MCCARTNEY, FOR NOT BEING AVAILABLE. That's one of the few useful things you've actually done. -__- Btw, random fact of the day- did you know they picked Dev Patel over any other actor because he never smiled in Slumdog Millionaire? Haha Liann- I'm loving all the Fire Nation people xD I hope they show Ozai's face (Is he even cast by the way?) DOOD LIANN- Animal companions FTW. Appa and Momo totally complete the family. xD Without them there would be no Team Avatar/Boomerang Squad, amirite? My friend has all the US DVDs. She ordered them from online, methinks, so why don't you try that, Lu? You can get all the cool stuff then. I, unfortunately, cannot, because my parents don't agree with the idea of ordering from online. >__> Sucks to be me. Wasn't there a shot exactly like that in the cartoon? When I saw it in the trailer I was like "I'VE SEEN THAT BEFORE!!1ONE11! " and it looks epic. If they don't put that side of the show in, I will be majorly pissed off. Sokka's sarcasm is the best part about him- no, we don't want Sokka-the-vegetarian-and-straight-talk-guy Maybe they'll change the actors? Zuko neeeeeeeeeds a scar. You can barely see it. 0_o I was totally looking forward to seeing Dev Patel with a shaved head and a pony tail xD Ah well. I met him 2 years ago - If I knew he was gonna be Zuko I would have fangirled more. DAMN. Yes! There was a poster with one of the Kyoshi warriors on it, and it was Suki...Lemme find it... Thar ya go. Here's the other ones if you fancy a goosey gander: The second one down is Sokka and Katara, right? Someone said it was Katara's Water Bending Master - Pakku...or something. They better keep the name as The Last Airbender, Legend of Aang sounds weird. I wanna call it Avatar, but you can't call it that now without everyone thinking you mean that amazing movie that James Cameron made xD According to some reviews I've seen of a screening in Phoenix - The character of Uncle Iroh was spot on. ;D I'm the same, Simba. I like Kataang and all but I don't want it constantly shoved in my face (this'll probably change as soon as I see the film xD I'm a sucker for shipping...It's like an addiction, I swear). Little bits here and there would be nice. The hug looks sweet in the trailer though. I have a REALLY bad feeling they won't include Momo. CGI creatures cost a lot of money to create - and Momo doesn't really do much toward shifting the Avatar storyline forward, does he? So yeah, bye Momo.  Sad times. I hope - I HOPE that I am wrong, I would love to see him in the film. US dvds won't work on Europe DVD players. The US have Region 1 (?) DVD players and DVDs, and Europe has Region 2. Region 1 DVD + Region 2 DVD player won't work. The only way I can watch the US DVDs is if I bought a multi-region DVD player, which cost A LOT. ;D Ah, really? >_> Don't they sell the DVDs where you live then? Or are you after the special DVDs with lots of special features? And yes, there was a very similar scene in the tv series ;D *searches on internetzz* This makes me happy. I hope they don't change the actors. That would suck. Big time xD I dunno, hopefully they'll find a logical way around it. They always do in the movie-world. /end super long post. |
