Ron always finds nasty things to say about Hermione. Hermione finds Ron's priorities messed up. They incessantly argue. Why did they fall in love? What do you think Ron saw in Hermione and vice-versa?

Ron never said any nasty things about Hermione, except that she was a nightmare in first year, when they weren't even friends. And he was sorry. It is Malfoy who said them, and it was RON who defended her every single time.

They are such a good balance. Ron brings out the spontaneous, fun aspect of Hermione, and Hermione brings out that serious side of Ron. He makes her feel beautiful and she makes him feel smart. And when they are together without Harry, I'd always imagined Ron to show this sensitive side to him. I think his softness at heart plus his passion in life is such a big thing for hermione. While they were so different, they are very similarly stubborn and yet have a huge heart. And they have great sex ;D hahahaha had to add that.
But really, in all seriousness...they will always be my favorite couple. I may not always understand them fully as their character but I understand them enough, especially hermione, to be able to empathize her feelings for Ron. This is also why he is def in the very top for favorite characters. I understand why hermione loves him.

Hermione and Ron are as different as chalk and cheese. This is why they are attracted to each other. He is in awe of her brilliance and capabilities. She finds his lay back style appealing as well as his loyalty as a friend not forgetting how gorgeous he is.

Oh dear the only book I've read in this series is DH but what I got out of it was they're both fiercely protective of each other and if anyone got out of line in front of the other, the other would give the offender a good dressing down. And their both not afraid to call each other out on their crap as well as encouraging each other and building up each others strengths. P.s. Gosh sure used a lot of 'each other's didn't I?

They are opposites as people above have pointed out. They bring out each others good sides, Ron relaxes Hermione and helps her to let loose have fun and she makes him feel capable of doing anything, she gives him a confidence and self esteem boost. Plus all the amazing stuff you guys said.
But they are also similar. They are both stubborn, shy, love to argue, seek each others attention, caring, loving, brave, loyal and when they balance each other out they have everything the perfect couple needs.
I love Ron and Hermione ♥
