I didn't know where to post this so I made a thread of my own So I'm a little confused. In the end of OoTP, Dumbledore explains everything to Harry. He talks about a flaw in his 'perfect plan'. I'm sorry, but I don't get what this flaw is. I read it about three times and couldn't understand him at all. Help plzkthx. Oh yeah, and I suppose you can post your other doubts and queries here, then this thread won't be entirely useless.

the flaw was that he never was able to go to California with Grindelwald.

Was it the flaw in Dumbledore's plan, or Voldemort's? Nice one, Pat

well, i think the flaw was that he left harry in the dark for such a long time, when he didnt tell harry about the prophecy and eveything related to it.. he underestimated harry, if you think about it.. he thought that harry wouldnt be safe if he'd tell the whole truth and stuff!
oh well, i think this is it..

babiiiribeiro, I think you're right Also, I think the flaw was that he grew to care too much about Harry..I don't have OotP here with me, but I'll read it again the very minute I get home

Okay, another one. I was wondering if Lavender Brown died?
Two bodies fell from the balcony overhead as they reached the ground, and a gray blur that Harry took for an animal sped four-legged across the hall to sink its teeth into one of the fallen. "NO!" shrieked Hermione, and with a deafening blast from her want, Fenrir Greyback was thrown backward from the feebly stirring body of Lavender Brown.
Dead, Werewolf or Scarred like Bill?

Absolutely agreed. Okay, another one. I was wondering if Lavender Brown died? Two bodies fell from the balcony overhead as they reached the ground, and a gray blur that Harry took for an animal sped four-legged across the hall to sink its teeth into one of the fallen. It's great you asked this question. For a long long time, I thought there was something in the way that phrase was written which lead me to believe Lavender was indeed dead (maybe because of the combination of 'feebly' and 'body' in the same sentence?), but then a few people told me that wasn't necessarily the case. So I thought that sometimes those subtle intricacies were escaping my mind because I wasn't an English native speaker... So I'm definitely glad you asked! JK Rowling has never mentioned if Lavender died or remained alive after the battle, so I'm looking forward to her Encyclopaedia as this is one of the HP mysteries yet to be told!

Probably only injured, cause from those two lines, we don't really know if he managed to bite her before Hermione stunned him.
