We know of one source of funding but I'm willing to bet there are other sources that we don't know about.

A normal movie isn't really 4 -6 months. Few movies go for like 6 months but it all depends on the movie and also the role of the character.

It's more 2 - 4 months (and 4 months is long) so 6 weeks that Snitchseeker says sounds about right.

I am happy he is doing something. I hope it turns out well for him. Shooting in Norway, lucky guy I always wanted to visit there.
