Edit to add: Those quotes about Dan and Rupert are odd, because she talks about Daniel in the present tense, and Rupert in the past. Very odd. Could be coincidental, could signify a change in her feelings of closeness to the two. (No, I'm not turning D/E, barf, I'm just saying that maybe she's lost touch with Rupert since coming to America. Maybe she felt something sort of change between them after they filmed that kiss and didn't know what to do with it, so she just shifted away from him. Should take this to the R/E thread, but in any case, just interesting reading it.) I don't see anything there mostly because she talked about them both in the past and then how Dan is awesome talker - (which doesn't have to mean he's the only one awesome). Also, makes me wonder if that means Rupert is changing. I guess the reporter might have asked her about Rupert and Dan and she said that Dan was and still is - a perfect talking partner and Rupert WAS the funny guy. Maybe he's changing now, maturing and leaving the kid behind? He still makes her laugh (DH bts) and all but maybe he's more serious lately? I am sure Emma would love that. Also, between those three, i always thought Dan would be the one to separate from them. On another note, i love this interview. Emma is so open and honest and real. This is the first time she openly talks about her parents and her fears about failing and college.

You can read the scans of the entire interview here: community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/46646569.htmlI must say that i felt offended in one part by this article. I for one would have chosen the goofy redhead as they call it to the blond bad boy. It's pretty clear to me which magazine/reporters admire and respect Rupert and which just use him as leftovers.

^ I totally agree, Sandi. That was the only part of the article I didn't like. The reporter's aside about the goofy redhead vs. the blond bad boy was NOT necessary at all. Otherwise, it is one of my favorite Emma articles.

This article reminds me about the sort of article that we would get around POA/GOF era's. Telling the world that Daniel is Emma's best friend and oh wait for it, Rupert is just fun. I think it's shitty because there is no need to play up that angle, it's absolutely wonderfull that Emma gets along so well with BOTH Daniel and Rupert, no need to describe one has the best guy around and reduce the other to a mere "just fun" type. Apart from this angle i loved the answers Emma gave and the insights into her life, i just feel it was shitty as hell to go there on the boy v. boy angle .

yea I agree I don't think tom is attractive at all rupert is way hotter (but like emma I did have a little crush on tom in like the first two films) LOVED this interview she is so smart! This Richard guy seems pretty persistent hahaha rowers are hot wonder what he is like ;D and I love how she is not big headed and can talk about her faults in the acting class.

"[Dan]’s the one I turn to and talk it over with" versus "I’d go to Rupert", the 'is' against the 'would go.' I dunno, those just stuck out to me. And you could be right, Katie--maybe its an unconscious acknowledgment that Rupert's changing, and she doesn't really know how to categorize him. Safest to say that he's fun, which she's always said before. Yeah, I know, Em. Its so hard to put it into words, this feeling you're having... EDIT: LOL--I finally found the interview when I undid the spoiler tags! LOVING it so far, although I always hate how gushy they are about the trio's acting. You can't say they were master actors in PoA just because they could get through a scene. That means they were professionals, dedicated and hard-working, but says nothing about their acting. At least Emma seems honest about it, if not the writer of the article. I cannot tell you HOW GLAD I AM she's in an acting class, and her professor talked to her about her BREATHING!!! Yes, hallelujahs! Emma's such a badass, it was always like, if someone just TOLD her about some of her tweaks and helped her fix them, she would rock the BOAT. *pets her acting professor on the head* *continues to read* EDIT again: I love that she's doing crew. I wish I had, but with all the late hours from theatre, there was no no NO way I was getting up at 5 to go row XD. And her talking about the addictiveness of fame with such clarity--oh gurl, you got yer head on straight! Love you! Ok so ya know I would NEVER be picky about someone's comments because everyone has an opinion here :-) What I got out of that was her reminscining back in the day of Rupert being the one who cheers her up- which is SO clear based on what we see BTS of HBP AND DH So has nothing to do w. saying "past tense" HOWEVER I do agree with what yall have said here about the notion that Rupert has changed while Dan has stayed the same...btw I think it is really sweet that Emma can go to Dan as a brother/sister. But back to Rupert, we know he is the FUNNY one but maybe just maybe he is starting to show a more serious side to himself while maintaining his FUNNY side that Emma adores ;-) As for the whole article itself, these other young actresses in Hollywood NEED to take a clue from the very talented, down to earth, and humble young woman, Emma That article was indeed a great read!!!
