Yeah no matter what I'll still support both Rupert and Emma as individuals and respect their decisions. If Emma wants to date an old hag by all means go ahead. If she's happy then we should be happy for her too.

I strongly agree with your post (on the other page), Megan.
This will probably not be a popular opinion, but I don't really think Emma and Rupert will ever date. I just enjoy their moments for what they are: cute moments between friends. But that's it. I joke around a lot and I definitely think they'd be adorable together. And I have theorized many times that they may have crushes on each other, which is very possible and they're just choosing not to act on it. I do enjoy analyzing all the moments.
For me, it's always been centered around the RHr kiss. I think whether or not R/E decided to go out or we get juicy moments between depends on how the kiss goes. They've known each other for years....it is very likely that Emma does not see Rupert the way we do. So that kiss will either light a fire or settle them into a long lasting friendship only. Or they do end up liking each other and decide it's best they stay friends.
Emma recently said in an interview on the DH set:
Derek Blasberg: How are you with those young men off set? Are you friends?
Emma Watson: To be honest, we see so much of each other when we’re working that hanging out together would be overload. I love them, but I need to see other friends off set. They’re like my siblings now.
Derek Blasberg: You three have this weird shared experience, though. There’s no one else who will truly know what it was like to grow up in these roles, in this franchise, in this sudden fame, like the three of you do.
Emma Watson: I completely agree with that, but we’re three different people, too. We will always be very important to each other. But, at the same time, after eight Harry Potter films, we’ll be ready to go and do other things, and be other people, and have time for ourselves.
Now the "sibling" thing has been overused but I don't completely ignore it because I've compared guys I know to siblings and meant it so I can't completely disregard her words. When the guy asks her how she must share a special bond with Rupert and Dan, and her response was to make a point about how different they are and how they're ready to move on, leads me to think something's off. It's like she'll be sad it's ending but relieved at the same time.
Now Emma has a boyfriend. And good for her. The fact that he's older doesn't surprise me since she's really mature for her age and seems like the type that would go for an older guy. Hopefully, she's happy and he treats her right.
It really just boils down on how they feel about each other after that kiss. But till then, I hope we get lots of cute moments between them for HBP and DH promotion! Because like I said, I love to analyze.

^I like and agree with what you added, redreh.  I more think of the kiss as the shove they need if there are any feelings simmering there. Because I know if I was in their position, I'd be scared to act on my feelings...at least while still in the middle of a huge franchise. So I definitely agree that there's chance down the road, after they both get more experience and figure out what they want, that they might reunite and be with each other. Anything's possible. |

She couldn't have been pissed off the the paparazzi caught her with her boyfriend when she's done her best to keep him to herself? I'm not trying to be a biznitch, but it sounds like a lot of making something out of nothing to suit your argument that you don't like him. |
