Wow, that's huge. Brilliant. I'm working on a translation. Native French speakers, feel free to jump in.

That is a little harsh, yeah. I think Emma has a career in both, if she really wanted to. She's a very pretty girl, and very well known, and has such potential to be a model. As for an actress, you never know, she might get some parts in the future. But considering she's going to University, she'll take time out of those things to study. Yes, I'm sorry, know what I said was a bit harsh. And believe me I HOPE I'm wrong. Because I do like Emma.I like her alot.

There's some new bits that are quite interesting. Like she's into folk and blues at the moment. And she talks about how "green" she is. I'll work on it.
Yup! That's what I had Lu!

Ooooo, interesting. There's too much french, I may just do little tidbits of it -- the last time I took a french class was 3 years ago x)

More of the interview:
You began to play Hermione at the age of 10. Now you are 18. It is rare to see an actor grow in the same role. How have you lived that?
It has not been easy to grow on the big screen. When one is a teenager, one is tormented by millions of anguishes. One learns, one grows, one makes errors. It was hard to live this period of changes all in turning such a large production.
What is it that is most enthralling about being an actress?
I love to analyze a character: understand the way she would react in a given situation, what would be her train of thought. I love the dimension of escape of the craft. One can forget completely. I like to draw on my negative and positive memories. I keep those experiences (a fleur de peau – a flower petal?) to be able to bring up an emotion quickly during a scene.
How do you consider the future?
I do not consider the future! I am occupied for the next five years…Grand maximum. I’m 18. Anything can happen! I benefit from all opportunities.
Why do you wish to go to university?
I feel like I am living when I learn, I feel motivated. I never want to stop learning. I would like to meet new friends. I would like to discover my tastes outside of the movie industry, because it is a world that can be very insular and the work very intermittent. I would like to fill the (holes? Hollows?) with something that impassions me. And I would like to be a little anonymous. I want to feel normal for a time.
What are you going to study?
I would like to speak French usually, like when I was a child. I would like to paint better. I would like to learn photography. I have not had to take history since I was 15, and I would like to take the subject again. I am passionate about literature. I have never truly studied philosophy or political science…
You are very humble. You do not act at all "the star." What do you think of the phenomenon of child stars?
I do not like this label. The child stars do not have exactly the best course…if you believe the media. They seem to always forget Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Julia Stiles, Jodie Foster. I do not believe they are destined to be failures. (Not sure of the next 2 sentences) It is certain that life was never going to be simple after Harry Potter. I will always be a little terrified by the idea of becoming a “has been.” I will probably never be the celebrity I am today, nor so exceptional, nor so young, nor so well paid…But all will depend on the way in which I will consider my clean success.
I will always be a little terrified by the idea of becoming a “has been.” - Very interesting. I've never heard her say this before.

Not sure who said it, but I agree. I dont think Emmas the right girl for this pics, it does look forced, and like she didnt enjoy herself while at it.

^ Me, neither. Is this why she's gunna be going into all this modelling and fashion stuff?
She wont be a "has been" to me, if she decides to move from being a celeb and acting to working in the real world. It's what she wants to do. I respect famous people who want to get out the light and learn more and go into education.

Feel free to jump in and correct anything. There were a few parts where I gave up, and it's a little bit rough!
How do you separate your private life and your public life?
I like to be private, but it is difficult enough at the moment. I never talk about my romantic relationships. The journalists (grognent?) a lot at this subject. In a certain way, the speculations are useful. None know the truth, but they all persist on writing the articles: they do not have any credibility. Audrey Hepburn would always say: “I (?) on what they write about me, as long as it is false.” The tabloids are ridiculous, and I think a bit like it. But I cannot truly feel sorry for myself…Relatively speaking, I have been treated well.
You like fashion a lot. Why?
It is a pleasure. I like to dress myself. It is creative, expressive. I appreciate fashion for the same reasons I appreciate art.
Who are your favorite designers?
Chanel, Vivienne Westwood, Balenciaga, Balmain, Preen, Christopher Kane, Marc Jacobs
What did you think of your first experience with Karl Lagerfeld? It has been a long time that I have been a fan of Karl, but I can understand now the width of his work. I REALLY think that he is a genius. And also, the photo session was one of the most pleasant of my life.
Where would you like to live?
In France.
Your biggest nightmare?
Sharks
Do you involve yourself in charitable activities?
I begin slowly. I would like that my decisions are the fruit of good information and to participate in actions that will really make a difference. I would not like to be simply “the face” of a project.
Are you into ecology?
I could not not be. I did my project at the end of my studies on global warming and Hurricane Katrina. I have studied the effects on a small scale, like the projects to stop it in London, but also on a large scale. My car is electric, I recycle, I take public transportation, [Note: here's where I gave up!]
Do you believe in magic?
Yes. Everything that cannot be explained.
Do you believe in miracles?
I got the role, didn’t I?
The style of music you prefer?
I am listening to a lot of folk and blues at the moment.
What is your favorite sound?
A baby's laugh.
Your favorite perfume?
Rose Framboise
Your favorite book?
The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Your favorite type of art?
My favorite artists are Euan Uglow, Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, and Jenny Saville. I love Tim Walker’s photos…I would like to live in a photo by Tim Walker. I went to see an exhibition of Francis Bacon at the Tate Gallery a few months ago, and it was the most beautiful exhibition I have ever seen. But don’t force me to choose one type of art…It’s too hard!
