Just a few of my favs. I watch these everytime they are on cable.
Lovers of the Arctic Circle The Coal Miner's Daughter (and I don't like country music, go figure.) Chinatown A Pure Formality Clueless ("Isn't she a Betty" I laugh everytime I hear that line.)

Pat, have you seen the original Infernal Affairs? I was shocked that Scorcese would do a remake. He is such an original film maker.
My fav Scorcese film - Age of Innocence (so different from anything he has ever done). Nobody gets shot, bludgeoned, hacked, knifed, or buried alive.

Yes, I saw it four or five years ago on IFC, on the Asian Invasion timeslot. It is very good. I was reluctant to watch The Departed because I don't like how americans change foreign movies. So I didn't watch it until last year. I like the original better but I give props to Scorcese, only because he is one of my favorite directors. But that's just me, I tend to like the original movies better than the remakes.
