Emma's personal problems were in it? I don't remember this?
But. Actually Emma did say that in the books Harry and Hermione were like bro and sis but she still thinks that Harry would have been better suited for Hermione.
JKR said she wrote them for personal issues but Harry was mentioned I just can't remember where. But both of them pretty much stated it should have been Harry....
--
I never thought I'd personally be disappointed in JKrowling but I am. I used to always say what she says goes. Even outside of the books because they're her characters. But to say something so drastic. To me Ron and Hermione were the biggest romance in the book. She had written the epilogue before many of the other books were even written. She used to be so passionate about them and then she throws this. After all those years of defending our ship it's like a slap in the face at all of us Ron and Hermione shippers. I'm so disappointed right now because I fell to love everything she did with her characters and accept it even if I never thought I'd like a ship together, or like something happening. I didn't like Fred or Dumbledore dying but I accepted it. Ginny and Harry always seemed forced but I grew to adore it and stick to her words. People are so invested on rping sites, on fanfiction, in the stories...that that's just horrible. For the people that stuck to her words to get attached to something and then throw that at them...
and Emma...I can't even begin with Emma to where she was the biggest supporter of them all and then just... 'lol, i didn't think they belonged together.' 'harry was better suited' 'people wonder if he'd ever have actually made hermione happy'
My mom is still convinced that the reason they're saying this is because Rupert Grint did something and they're taking it out on the Ron character -_-
Emma did always compare the two...
That also being said I wonder if Emma was taken off guard at all and just felt obligated to agree with JKR because she was the one interviewing her. I mean how can she even say that in the books they were like brother and sister then say they'd have been better suited. >.>
-- Ugh JKR that also makes me dislike a lot of more things because the hero getting the main girl is so over done... I loved that she went away from that. Just to put it back there! I ADORED that Harry wasn't Hermione's hero...that Ron was her own personal hero.

I know hearing JKR and Emma Watson say this is a bit of a kick in the teeth for all RHR shippers, but I'm holding back until Wonderland is released on the 7th... I'm not overly sure how much truth is behind all this yet.

So I am gonna say that again because apparently no one read here. The original article is from Wonderland Magazine. The magazine is not out yet. That was just a passage from the interview. Emma and JK never talk about Harry in the original article. People have take the interview and interpret that themselves and make up the bit about Harry like the sunday Times. Emma just says that she understand there are some fans who can doubt the couple because they were very different. No one talk about another guy. Basicaly it's just Hermione Forever alone talk.

Let's see what the actual article says then. But from the bit we've heard I actually broke down in tears. All this time I invested in R/Hr feels like a lie now. I hope that this is like the silly Dan/Emma Valentine's day rumour from a few years ago, where they apparently spent V-Tines day together. I'm hoping for another article to be published or a tweet or something where Emma or JKR says this is fake.

What a disappointment JKR is to me at this moment. How could she after penning this remarkable story and the possibility of "something" in H/R's first meeting on the train and then continuing throughout her books to bring them closer and closer to realizing that they loved each other decides that "NO" I made a mistake and think Hermione and Harry were more suited". What a huge slap in the face for us shippers. How we have loved watching these two on screen since the very beginning and now it seems the writer didn't feel the same way after all. Very sad and disappointing. Still so in love with these two.

I am gonna laugh so hard when the original and only article from Wonderland will come out and people will see that Jk never talk about Harry. The other magazines have takes the interview and do what they wanted they even say that jk had an interview with the sunday Times which is a lie.

I think we should all wait for the full interview. But until then it's pointless to ignore some things.
First of, the magazine is real and the interview is real. Second, Emma took that interview from Jo and she was the guest editor, which means she had a say to all of this. Third, yes so far we haven't seen Harry's name from JKR's or Emma's comments, but it would be completely arbitrary that someone would use the title "JK admits that Harry should have wed Hermione" or later "both women agree that Harry would be a better match" if those words never said. Obviously they said those words, but we don't know in what context, or if during the interview they say things in favour of Ron/Hermione.
So, like i said, it would be better to wait for the full interview, but it would also be good to not act as someone put words in their mouths. At least not until we see it.
BUT what does it change really for any of us? Did any of you became a Romione shipper because JK told us to? Because they ended up together?
I didn't! I loved them for my own reasons. For me they are perfect for each other. Why would it change my feelings for the couple if someone (even Jo) doesn't thinκ they would last? For me they represent true love and a realistic relationship.
Afterall, if everybody agreed with JKR in the past, then there shouldn't be any non-canon shippers. Everybody would follow the canon pairs with no questions asked. But some people decided to ingore that and believed that those characters would be better with someone else. It's the same thing now in reverse. Now JK says that R/Hr wouldn't last or they would need therapy or Hermione should have wed Harry. Okay fine. If she said all that, good for her. I disagree with her.
Why should I be affected by those words? She has her opinion, i have mine.
And don't forget! When she was writing the books she was fully 100% behind the storyline. Her inspiration when writing the books told her that Ron and Hermione are meant to be together. The fact the she changed her mind now, doesn't mean that what she was writing at that time was a lie or that the books are a lie. It only means that now after so many years her priorities and perspective on some things in her life are different and that affects her views on her characters.
She always said that Hermione reminds her a lot of herself, so if now Jo wants a guy like Harry in her life (she admitted that her husband is a lot like Harry) then it would obviously affect her views on Hermione's relationship with Ron as well.

They also say that Emma was going to play in fifty Shade of grey that she was dating Tom , Daniel ... So yes I believe that some magazine can put word in people mounth.

Full interview is out! Read it here: www.snitchseeker.com/harry-potter-news/j-k-rowling-on-harry-potter-shipping-says-hermione-and-harry-are-a-better-fit-96525/"In some ways Hermione and Harry are a better fit"... keywords: in some ways. Nobody's going to be perfect. And yes, H/Hr have qualities that might make them a good fit, but R/Hr have qualities that not only complement each other, but also bring out the best in each other. H/Hr are very platonic and their relationship doesn't have that "chemistry" in the books. It would be a very dull and boring relationship with Hermione's constant nagging and Harry constantly shutting her off. JKR doesn't regret R/Hr at all. She even said that R/Hr will probably work out - but like EVERY relationship there is that "what if" factor, the possibility that it may not work out, and this is not solely applicable to R/Hr. I'm glad that the full interview has been released, because now we know the truth behind JKR's words - and the big truth is that she does NOT regret R/Hr.
