Dumbledore probably did; not only Harry, but to the whole wizarding world.

I think all the deaths in the book had an impact on me. But the one that I had to keep reading to make sure I wasn't seeing things was Hedwig. I was like, "What! She's not even letting an owl live?!"

Snape I guess... After hearing his story. It was later than that but it made me really sad. And Fred. He should've stay with George.

Oh yeah. I had to put the book down for a minute the first time I read that! It set the tone for the whole thing. I remember thinking, "Holy crap. No one is safe!" I was really afraid for R or Hr.

Fred! Before it didn't have that much of an impact, but I was listening to the Mugglenet fan fic podcast and there was story, Long Distance Extendable Ears, where Fred and George communicate using George's missing ear. His death just hit home for me and I started bawling.

probably Fred, he is one of my favourite characters. althoughI can't say that I was shocked because I had read spoilers long before I read the book, so I was prepared

For me Dobby´s death was a real hit in the face, I cried while reading that chapter and then I remembered how in the CoS Harry asks Dobby to promise him that he will never try and save his life again! And it is just tragic , very tragic moment. Also Lupin and Tonks - for me it was a very sad moment when Harry first saw them lying. I will not start about Snape - it took me days to get over it!

mm.. I think the most shocking was Dobby's, I was like ''whaaaat?! that can't be right'' and yes, if you must know I cried like a baby And there were a few others unnecessary deaths like Hedwig's and Fred those were truthly sad
