I gotta admit I have a soft spot of Severus/Lily too (Harry Snape and the Deathly Hallows .. LOL) But Lily and James fell in love and that's what matters. That's part of why Snape was the "tragic" hero. hes my hero ... like the ending of the book "....one of them was a Slytherin and he was proably the ravest man i ever knew " i was crying over again cause i remembered he died.!

Yep I always kind of knew Snape and Harry would reconcile in the end, I just didn't expect Snape to be ... um .. well you know, dead (smooth I know.)
But I was right because after all those years of hatred, Harry finally forgave Snape - just like his mother would have done.

I cried when I read that sentence! Harry is so nice, )'= Snape is such a good man. He's so sweet, my heartstrings tear when he was dying. snifffs*

Hmm I can't really see Snape as *sweet*. He was definetly not a very nice person - he treated Harry horribly. But he what he was was a very brave person, and good also. A very spiteful, bitter hero.

Snape is the greatest paradox in the entire HP series. In the beginning, the aura he exuded was that of the enemy, the ultimate "bad guy" next to Voldemort, but in Deathly Hallows, the truth comes out and Snape becomes the hero and as Harry puts it "the bravest man I ever knew."
Snape had a terrible childhood, but because of that one light he found, Lily Evans, he turns his life around for her...he betrays Voldemort for her, he protects Harry for her...
Really, I don't blame Snape for being bitter towards Harry. He's gone through so much for him, but Harry had no idea until the end. It's so tragic.

The emnity Harry got from Snape was completely undeserved, but then again, if I had been in Snape's situation and didn't vent my feelings out on somebody, I would've exploded. So it was probably for the best.
