How do I change my username/display name? A username is your login username and can be your display name. A Display name speaks for itself. It is the name that you are displayed as and can be changed as many times as you want. Currently, there is no way you can change your username unless you delete your account and start over. However, you can change your Display name. To do this, go to your Profile, then Modify Profile. Then under Account Information, you will see "Display Name". From what I know, you can use any symbols in your Display name. PLEASE keep your display name appropriate. If for some reason, you really need to change just your username, please contact one of the administrators (Natalie or Valerie), and we shall do our best to transfer accounts. However, we cannot transfer Private Messages and direct links to prior posts. All we can do is just transfer the number of posts you had and your signature/avatar if you wish.

How can I send someone a PM? There are three ways. See where my avatar/icon is to the left? Well right below it there is this little button: Everyone has that one, click on that. That is the easiest way. The other way is to click on the members name. Then click " Send Personal Message". The other way, which is kind of tricky, is doing it manually. You have to send it to the person's username. The Display name is not always the username! Remember that. When you click on someone's profile, it can sometimes say right next to their Display name (username: xxx) or something. That is what you put in the To box. Pretty simple, eh? Though if for some reason you can't assess this, click here to do it manually.

What is hotlinking? You might of heard of us stressing about no hotlinking allowed. But what exactly is it and what are the consequences about it? Hotlinking or Bandwidth Theft is pretty much directly linking a websites files to another website. In other words, it's like using your neighbors water supply to water your plants. People pay for their bandwidth and if their monthly bandwidth exceeds more than they have paid for, they will have to pay extra fees or their website might go down. Almost reaching bandwidth limit also slows down the website. Especially during promotion/premiere times, hundreds or people may be on the same website looking at the same videos or pictures. So to prevent major media sites from slowing down or even closing, it is best to right-click and save the image to your computer and upload it in a photo hosting website such as Photobucket, TinyPic, ImageShack, etc.

How do I post an image in a thread? Put the URL of the image between and [ /img] (without the space). Remember, if it is a BIG picture, I suggest you getting it uploaded on ImageShack.us and use the Thumbnail for Forums link and post it so we can see it on another page. Or you can just post a link to it. Remember, no HOTLINKING! Get it hosted somewhere! We don't want to see a yellow frog saying,"No Direct Linking" instead of Rupert & Emma spotted in an Ice Cream Truck! Not cool.
